Alpharetta, Ga. July 17, 2015– Trinity will join forces with radio station Victory 91.5 FM in a summer shoe drive campaign. The summer outreach opportunity called Every Sole Counts is shoe drive for Haiti. Haiti was hit in 2010 by a devastating Earthquake. Yet, they are still facing many challenges.

Trinity will collect shoes of all varieties & conditions. No shoes will be refused (tennis shoes, loafers, boots, heels, sandals, flip-flops, etc.).

Every Sole Counts Facts:

  • Shoes with minimal wear will provide footwear to those in need in Haiti.
  • Shoes with moderate/severe wear will be re-purpose through a micro-business initiative to Haitian families who will learn a profitable trade/business to earn income for their families.
  • Collection proceeds will benefit the ministry of the station.

The goal for the project is to collect 25,000 pairs of shoes.

Trinity will be providing a collection container to wrap and/or decorate with community residents and staff. Trinity will also include a flyer to place on the collection container. Cecily Curl, regional dementia and training specialist, will retrieve the containers. The drive will end for Trinity on Wednesday July 29, 2015.
