ACWORTH, Ga., Sept. 12, 2014—Dogwood Forest Assisted Living has announced its plans to host the Grand Opening celebration of its new Dogwood Forest of Acworth community located in historic downtown Acworth 4461 South Main Street on Thursday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. As the first assisted living community in the Acworth city limits, Dogwood Forest of Acworth will offer area seniors new living options in an environment designed to improve the outcomes in the health and lives of its residents. The event is free and open to the public.
The day’s events will kick off with a closed ribbon cutting ceremony followed by the grand opening celebration. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the assisted living and memory care community as well as enjoy live entertainment, food and drinks. Acworth Mayor, Tommy Allegood, and several members of the Acworth city council and government will all be in attendance. Nicolle Williams, executive director for Dogwood Forest of Acworth said,
“We’re excited to open Dogwood Forest to the Acworth community. Being a long-time resident of this area, I know the opening of this community will positively impact the residents of Acworth and,” she continued. “The grand opening celebration will give everyone an opportunity to see what truly makes Dogwood Forest Different from what many people consider assisted living to be,” Williams concluded.
The 93 unit, three story, 87,000- square- foot property officially opened in July. The community offers both assisted living and memory care services as well care services such as respite stays, adult day services, and post operative care.
